Tinker Leaders,

Given the increasing risk to force and risk to mission with COVID-19 cases on the rise in Oklahoma, the surrounding counties and Tinker AFB, I am declaring a Public Health Emergency (PHE) for the installation effective 0845L today, 5 November 2020.

Attached find the official PHE memorandum and a newly updated Public/Social Gathering policy that also goes into effect today, 5 November 2020. Effective immediately, 100% mask wear is mandatory indoors in all facilities. Two exceptions to mask wear: not required when alone in an office, and not required if it interferes with mission or proper wear of mandated PPE. To be clear, a cubicle is not considered an office in this regard. For cubicles. commanders and directors can determine when masks can be removed, but at a minimum, “present for duty” members cannot be seated within 10 feet of each other without masks.

In every facility where it is feasible, continue or return to single-point entry. Attached Word doc is a proposed sign template for your ECP, preferred for its simplicity and directness.

The mask wear policy is in effect for the duration of the PHE, which is 30 days unless extended. The public/social gathering policy is in effect until updated or superseded.
