INFO// Updated Air Force Fitness Assessment Matrix -- Jul 2021
1 Apr 2021 by Alphonzo Glover
All,
Air Force fitness assessments are currently scheduled to resume July 2021. Today, AFPC published updated guidance on the mypers website to include an updated fitness assessment matrix (attached). Personnel who will be due to fitness test in July 2021 are: 1) Last fitness test was July 2019 and scored an Excellent, 2) last fitness test was Jan 2020 with a Satisfactory score, and 3) last fitness assessment was Mar 2019-Mar 2020 that are Unsatisfactory or have a Non-current score. In June, the FAC will open up the SharePoint site for your Unit Fitness Program Managers (UFPM) to begin scheduling personnel.
The physical fitness assessment will no longer include the abdominal circumference as scored component. Height and weight will be taken upon Fitness Testing resumption as a record of measurement. An Air Force body composition program is being developed to meet DoD requirements and will be announced at a later date. The remaining 20 points assigned to abdominal circumference will be reallocated to the other three components of the physical fitness assessment. System changes are being made to accommodate this change in AFFMS II. No new information has been published regarding updated age brackets.
Reading the FAQs, it seems as if those that are deploying will test after their 42 day reacclimation period upon return, if they don’t test while in theater.
