Time zone: Melbourne
Reminder: None
Ends: 01:01pm (duration is 1 minute)

The running of this event relies heavily on volunteers. As such, apart from a Team Manager (i.e. me), each club is required to supply a number of Key & General Officials, based on the number of teams the club has entered. Given that we have a relatively small number of teams, we are only required to provide two Key Officials and two General Officials for the day.

Gordon Fode has agreed to cover one of the Key Official roles and will be the Call Room Chief for the entire day. Jim Kokkalos will be our other Key Official in his capacity as one of the Starters for the events, again for the whole day. Thank you to Gordon & Jim for covering these positions, which will allow the majority of the other parents to enjoy supporting their children while only having to volunteer a small amount of time to cover General Official duties.

Remaining parents are required to fill the following positions which, given that the SMR were late advising exactly which duties we are required to fill, I have chosen to allocate rather than asking for families to nominate their preferred time. If you are believe you will be unable to fill your allocated time, please arrange a replacement (note: there are quite a few families who have avoided being allocated a duty, so the expectation would be to help out where you can, if asked).

Duties have been allocated based on a block of events, rather than an actual time. For those families who have been allocated Call Room Assembly Assistant duty at the start of the day, and/or after lunch, please note that you will be required to be in position 30 mins before the first race in that block of events (i.e. 8am for first race at 8.30am or 12.30pm for first race at 1pm). All others should arrive 15 mins before scheduled start time, to enable previous volunteer to explain the role and conduct a handover.

Please note that all parents must wear closed footwear (i.e. no thongs/sandals), while completing duties. This is an OH&S requirement, as you will be in close vicinity to athletes wearing spiked running shoes.
