The AR is Josh’s favorite platform and he is happy the AGAG ladies want to get deep into the fundamentals and become more proficient with their AR’s. If you are taking the AR class at Elevate 2020 (AG&AG National Conference in Colorado), you will get much more out of the course, because you will be comfortable with the platform. Intro to the AR-15 – starts in the classroom with basics. We will field strip the rifles, cover basic operation, nomenclature, cleaning, lubrication and re-assembly. Also covered will be basic manipulation of the firearm including malfunctions and reloads. Then we will move to the live fire range and start putting rounds on paper, will work through some firing drills and move to non-traditional shooting positions, multiple targets and barricaded shooting.
