This years Midland County Championships took place on Saturday 25th January 2020.

Unfortunately we didn’t quite manage to get a team together however 4 of our men went along and were cheared on by the club chairman.

The weather stayed dry despite the forecast of rain on the morning, the course itself was just short of the expected 12km, relatively flat but extremely cut up and slippy due to the men’s race being the last race of the day. There was a strong field of 366 runners in the men’s race which was won by Omar Ahmed of Birchfield Harriers in 36.44. Our team was led home by Steven Flowers in 47.02.

A great effort by everyone evolved. A big shout out to Peter for being team captain and his efforts to get everyone involved in participating in the race and to Steven for driving the team to the event.
