The Coach Education Unit hosted a successful “Coaches Knowledge Brush-Up Programme” at the Ampara DCA Office, led by K. Karthi, an experienced coach educator from the Eastern and Central Provinces. Karthi shared his expertise with local school and academy coaches, helping them refine their approach to coaching young cricketers. The programme emphasized four key areas for cricket improvement: technical skills, tactical understanding, physical conditioning, and mental resilience.
These pillars are essential for developing well-rounded players and enhancing the quality of cricket in the region. Through interactive sessions and real-world examples, Karthi has empowered coaches to better nurture young talent, laying the foundation for future cricketing success in Ampara District and helping the sport thrive locally.
