The Coach Education Unit recently conducted a workshop for school and academy coaches in the Polonnaruwa district, focusing on “Modern Cricket Coaching” and “Coach-Player Relationships.” The session, held at the DCA office in Polonnaruwa, was led by experienced coach educators Chaminda Thotagamuwa and Sanjaya Rajapakshe.

Thotagamuwa shared insights on innovative coaching techniques, emphasizing skill development and modern training methods. Rajapakshe highlighted the importance of strong coach-player relationships, offering practical advice on effective communication and building trust.

The workshop included interactive discussions and practical demonstrations, allowing coaches to apply new techniques and receive feedback. This event aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of local coaches, equipping them to better support young cricketers in the region.
