The Coach Education Unit hosted a workshop for school and academy coaches in the Anuradhapura district, held at the DCA office. The session focused on “Modern Cricket Coaching” and “Coach-Player Relationships,” led by experienced coach educators Chaminda Thotagamuwa and Sanjaya Rajapakshe.

Thotagamuwa introduced innovative coaching methods, emphasizing skill development, data-driven techniques, and effective training strategies that align with the evolving nature of cricket. Rajapakshe highlighted the significance of building strong coach-player relationships, focusing on effective communication, trust, and player motivation.

The workshop featured interactive discussions and practical demonstrations, allowing coaches to gain hands-on experience and receive valuable feedback. This program aimed to equip local coaches with the knowledge and tools needed to enhance their coaching practices, ultimately contributing to the growth and development of young cricketers in the Anuradhapura district.
