The Coach Education Unit conducted a knowledge update program for school and academy coaches in the Trincomalee district. Led by an experienced Coach Educator, the session focused on enhancing coaching skills and strategies, with special emphasis on identifying player errors and effectively handling training sessions.

Coaches were trained on how to observe players closely to pinpoint common technical and tactical mistakes. The educator provided practical insights and techniques for addressing these errors, helping coaches understand the root causes and implement corrective measures. Additionally, the session covered effective ways to manage and structure a coaching session, including planning drills, maintaining player engagement, and providing constructive feedback.

This program aimed to equip local coaches with the tools and knowledge needed to improve player performance and refine their own coaching methods, contributing to the overall development of cricket in the Trincomalee district.
