The Coach Education Unit organized a First Aid Course for Southern Level 1 Coaching Course candidates and school coaches, conducted in collaboration with St. John’s Ambulance. This course was designed to equip participants with essential first aid knowledge, both practical and theoretical, tailored to cricket-specific scenarios.
The session covered critical topics such as managing injuries common in cricket, including sprains, fractures, and dehydration. Participants also learned the importance of immediate response during on-field emergencies, ensuring player safety and minimizing recovery time. Hands-on demonstrations allowed candidates to practice techniques such as CPR, wound dressing, and handling head injuries, enhancing their confidence in real-world applications.
