The Coach Education Unit conducted Level 0 Coaching Interviews in R. Premadasa Stadium HPC Conference hall, demonstrating a strong commitment to fostering coaching excellence. Led by Coach Educators Nilantha Wimalaweera and Kasela Chamara, with support from Provincial Coaches Chaminda Kodikara, Harsha Gamiadikari, Amila Perera, and Suranga Perera, the program attracted over 130 participants.

The interviews spanned Three days, with 40 candidates evaluated daily in sessions that lasted the entire day. Each candidate’s knowledge of cricketing fundamentals, coaching techniques, and situational awareness was assessed in detail, ensuring that only the most capable individuals advance to contribute to the growth of the sport.

This initiative highlights the Coach Education dedication to developing a professional coaching infrastructure that supports player growth from grassroots to elite levels. The program’s success underscores its pivotal role in elevating cricket standards across Sri Lanka.
