We recently purchased 5 sets of much needed bed arms to give to an old peoples home in VRSA. The home predominantly look after people with dementia and don’t even receive funding for some residents prescriptions. Thank you to Andy Wilkings for co-ordinating. Andy along with Pam from Tavira 2nd Chance attended a “market day” where 5 year old pupils from a nearby school attended to spend time with the residents using fake escudos to buy fruit, cakes and drinks which acted as a maths lesson for the children and hopefully a trip down memory lane for the older folks. At the event Andy was presented with a trophy the residents had made for us and a thank you note in the form of a poem entitled Many Thanks. See pictures.
