The golf day is only a couple of days away, thanks for everyone’s help in securing sponsors and players for the day. Below is a copy of the email that went out to all players registered on the site, please circulate to anyone on your team who may not have it. See you Saturday.

Hi all,

Firstly thanks for your upcoming support for the North Texas Devils Golf day this Saturday.

Just wanted to get an email out to those playing with the running order and what to expect on the day.

We have over 80 players signed up to play, and it will be a 1pm shot gun start.

Running order will be:
11:30 checkin will start
11:30am putting contest start
12:30pm putting contest finish
12pm lunch will come out
12:45pm pre tournament meeting
1pm shot gun start
5:30pm (earlier if everyone is finished) Prize giving and raffle draw

We will be running a putting contest with prizes and a trophy for the winner. Its a $50 buy which gets you 5 shots at a decent length putt (will measure out on the day but more than likely 30ish feet) and it will be a point system.

1 point inside 1 foot
2 points inside 2 feet
3 points inside 3 feet
5 points outside 3 feet
-3 points in the hole
Least amount of points wins
in case of tie breaker… 2 extra putts

The golf tournament itself will be a Texas Scramble, with Stableford point scoring. 4 players in each group, better ball, and points scored as follows.

Stableford points: 3 under = 5 points
2 under = 4 points
1 under = 3 points
Even par = 2 points
+1 = 1 point
+2 = 0 (pickup)
Couple of rules to clarify pre tournament…

1. This year we are doing Mulligans off the tee only
2. Cannot take the all the shots from one player on any hole
3. Must take a tee shot of every player on each 9

We will clarify all these again on Saturday, but the main aim of the day is to have fun play golf!

Beverage cart girl will be going around, and Birdie juice will also be being sold by NTX Devils volunteers.
