In light of recent changes to data protection laws in Europe via the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR), this notice explains how we process the personal data of a registered user on the Team App platform when visiting our website or using our app. Please read this document carefully to understand your data protection rights and learn how we collect, process, store and treat your personal data.
We. Team App: anywhere ‘we’ is used in this document Team App pty ltd is implied.
You. The user: anywhere ‘you’ is used in this document ‘you, the user’ is implied.
Club. Any one of the sports clubs or organisations that utilizes the Team App platform.
Whenever you visit teamapp.com, we may collect details of your visits including, but not limited to; traffic data, location data and other communication data based on the resources you access.
NOTE: When you make a payment to your club via the Team App ‘app’ or website, we use Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliant third party payment services and we do not store your payment information.
Where you are a registered user of Team App, subject to exercising your rights detailed in this policy, we retain Your Data for as long as you remain an active user of the platform. Where there has not been any activity on your account or where you decide to cancel your account or we do not hear from you, your account will be de-activated and Your Data will be deleted within 28-days.
Where you have subscribed to receive marketing correspondence from us, we will keep your personal data for marketing purposes whilst your account remains active and for the period of time referred to above. This is subject to exercising your right to unsubscribe from receiving such correspondence at any time.
Where you are a non-registered user or a registered user whose personal information has been uploaded by an admin of your club to your club’s website, we will store Your Data on our software for the benefit of your club for as long as your club requires (we do not use this information for our own purposes). For details on how long Your Data is retained by your club, please contact your club directly for details of their specific Privacy and Data Retention policies.
We will collect details such as a contact name, e-mail address and telephone number in order to contact you about goods and/or services you have ordered, to assist you placing further orders and to help you pay for the goods or services supplied. We may share your data with our employees to manage our relationship with you and we will keep the personal data for as long as required under the teams of this agreement
Where we need to collect personal data by law or under the terms of a contract we have with you, and you fail to provide the data when requested, we may not be able to perform the contract we have or are trying to enter into with you (eg. to provide you with our goods or services). In this case, we may have to cancel a product or service you have with us. We will notify you if this is the case at the time.
In addition to the uses described above, we may also use Your Data for our legitimate business interests including for marketing, market research and related purposes, such as:
Providing you with information about our products and services, or related products and services via e-mail which may be of interest to you. We will always inform you before collecting Your Data if we intend to use Your Data for marketing, market research and related purposes. Where we intend to use Your Data for the marketing of services and products of third party organisations and/or disclose Your Data to any third party for such purposes we will obtain your prior consent.
NOTE: Your right to opt-out – you have a right to opt-out of receiving any marketing information (from ourselves and/or a third party) at any time. To opt-out of receiving such information you can use the ‘unsubscribe’ facility contained in any marketing communication you receive or e-mail us at support@teamapp.com.
We may share your information with third parties who provide services to Team App, such as for the purposes of; supporting and improving the app and website, promoting new features to users, processing in-app or website payments or fulfilling orders. These service providers will only have access to the information necessary to perform their limited functions and are required to protect and secure your personal information. We may de-identify (pseudonymise) or aggregate the information we provide to third parties in ways that do not personally identify you.
Depending on your Privacy Settings, Team App may collect and process personal data from you. This includes device identifiers, general location data, gender, age and other general interest data to serve ads from our advertising partners more relevant to you for a more personalized advertising experience. However, if you wish to continue using Team App without providing any data to our advertising partners, please accept the terms for using our app and click into your Team App settings to purchase an ad-free version of our app.
NOTE: Team App does not sell your e-mail or any of Your Data to any 3rd parties. We only supply aggregated data for the purpose of enhancing the user experience by serving ads more relevant to you.
Our third party software providers transfer and process Personal Data outside of the European Economic Area (“EEA”). Adequate levels of protection approved by the European Commission are in place for the security of your personal data through the software providers certification. These are covered by a Data Protection Addendum held between Team App and the provider.
Where we have given You (or where You have chosen) a password which enables you to access to the Team App platform, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
We use industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to allow for the encryption of personal information in transit. To help ensure these measures are effective you should be aware of the security features of your browser or mobile device. If you do not use a SSL capable browser, you are at risk of having data intercepted.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet and mobile networks is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect Your Data, we cannot guarantee the security of Your Data transmitted to Team App. Any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received Your Data, we will use our best endeavours via strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorised access.
Information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. We have implemented appropriate physical, technical and organisational measures designed to secure your information against accidental loss and unauthorised access, use, alteration or disclosure. In addition, we limit access to personal data to those employees, agents, contractors and other third parties that have a legitimate business need for such access.
Links may be contained within the Team App platform to and from 3rd party websites, and ads you click on may also redirect to 3rd party websites or apps. If you follow a link to any of these sites or apps, please note that they have their own Privacy Policies and Team App does not accept any responsibility or liability for these when you leave the platform. We encourage you to read the privacy notice/policy of every website or app you visit.

It is important that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and up-to-date. Please keep us informed if the personal data we hold about you changes. Where you are a registered user of Team App, you may update your data contained within your account at any time.
Data protection legislation gives you the right to object to the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances or withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data where it has been provided. You also have the right to access information held about you and for this to be provided in an intelligible form. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal data that Team App has stored about you, please send an e-mail to support@teamapp.com.
NOTE: Please send any requests relating to the above to support@teamapp.com specifying your name and the action you would like us to undertake. Where you are a registered user please also supply the e-mail address you used to register with Team App, noting that it is in relation to requests to access Your Data.
Where you have provided your consent to the collection, processing and transfer of your personal data, you may withdraw that consent at any time. This will not affect the lawfulness of data processing based on consent before it is withdrawn. To withdraw your consent you can do so automatically using the in-app settings.
This notice may be updated periodically as changes are made to our data processes or the laws that govern them. In the case of any changes you will be notified through one of our communication channels. We encourage you to check this policy from time to time for any updates or changes. If we would like to use your previously collected personal data for different purposes than those we notified you about at the time of collection, we will provide you with notice and, where required by law, seek your consent before using your personal data for a new or unrelated purpose.
